Why did you join Canon?
For me, it started with the idea of being part of a company with a reputation for great products, but once I started, I found a lot more reasons to stay, like the great support, teamwork and professionalism throughout the company.
What development opportunities have you had?
The pace of career development is one of the things that surprised me most about Canon. I started as HR Director for Canon Europa in The Netherlands and soon moved up to Strategic HR Business Partner for ICT and Supply Chain. I then became European Programme Director in Corporate Strategy and now work in Services & Support in our strategic headquarters based in London. It’s been a great experience so far, and the company has a great system that recognises and rewards hard work.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I love that my role involves meeting people from all parts of the business across Europe. This ‘cooperative’ way of working really brings out the best in me and encourages me to achieve even more!
