In line with Canon’s principles on environmental responsibility, we take a proactive approach towards legal compliance, especially with regard to health and environment. Canon closely works with its supply chain to ensure continuous compliance with the REACH Regulation. Specifically, we have requested our suppliers of materials, components and finished products to provide us with information on the presence of substances of very high concern in the supplied items.
The Candidate List of “substances of very high concern” under Article 59 of the REACH Regulation was published on 28 October 2008 and has been amended regularly, most recently on 19 December 2011. The most recent Candidate List can be found on the European Chemicals Agency website
