A global solution for a global business

With offices in 17 countries, Borealis depends on its global IT suppliers for short reaction times when it comes to support issues. Having one global print provider with a central contact person managing the service across all countries is a critical part of this requirement.

After carefully assessing the market, Borealis turned to Canon. 1,165 devices across 17 countries were replaced with 1,000 devices in a period of only eight months. Not only was the change a smooth one for all users involved, but the resulting solution has increased document security and is also saving Borealis money when it comes to maintenance and support thanks to a high level of standardisation.

“Overall there are three things about this project that really stand out for me”, says Jacky Cillen. “Firstly, Canon truly works as a global player. Secondly, the roll-out of the whole project – in terms of time, budget and the level of standardisation achieved – has been very smooth. Finally, but most important for me, with Canon the ongoing support after completion of the project is as good as it was during implementation. We are being provided with the best possible support globally, which is exactly what we were looking for in a technology partner.

”Our aim was to have a smooth transition to a standardised print environment that is also fully networked. The driving motivation behind this was to provide more centralised support to our users, as well as making cost savings in terms of both maintenance and support."
